FAQ - Office 365 Suite Migration

New : Starting August 24, 2021, the online office uses the Office 365 suite.

This FAQ is dedicated to users who were using google Apps for the online office.

This migration represents a strong stake in the strategy of evolution of the information system of TBS, in particular on the educational and collaborative aspects. Indeed, this collaborative work solution allows us to improve the management of group work at TBS Education and to simplify our work environment.

Rest assured that we have studied the market solutions and have taken this decision by measuring all the limits, impacts and contributions for our institution.

GENERAL

Can I still use Teams and Zoom ?

The migration has no impact on the connection to Teams and Zoom applications.

MY EMAIL

Will my Gmail TBS address be deleted ?

You still have access to your Gmail account, but all messages sent to your @tbs-education.org address will be received in your Outlook account.

Does this migration have an impact on my contacts who use my TBS email address ?

This change of tool is transparent for your contacts who will continue to use the same address.

Starting August 24th, you will still have access to your Gmail inbox but all messages sent to your @tbs-education.org address will be received on your new Outlook inbox.

I connect with my Gmail TBS address to different sites (Canva, etc.): does the migration have an impact on this ?

Your TBS email address remains the same, so you won't have any problem connecting to the sites for which you used it as a login.

I use my Outlook for my apprenticeship, will there be an impact during the migration or is it possible to use both accounts ?

There is no problem to use 2 accounts under Outlook.

You will be able to use your TBS Outlook Online mailbox via the Campus access as you do with Gmail.

If we have a professional Outlook version already installed on our laptop, can we use this version or do we need to install another version of Outlook?

There is no problem to use 2 accounts under Outlook.

How can I receive tbs-education emails on my phone ?

If you were used to receiving your tbs-education emails on your phone, with the Office 365 migration the settings change.

By connecting via your phone on outlook.com you will receive a proposal to install an application on your phone.

How do I access the archives in my Gmail account ?

To do so, use the C@mpus menu by clicking on "Google (Archives)" then "Gmail (Archives)".

How do I forward old messages from my Gmail account to my Outlook ?

You can transfer your Gmail emails to Outlook by forwarding them to yourself. You can find a tutorial here.

My Calendar

How do I check my class schedule in Outlook ?

You can access your schedule by going to the C@mpus menu and clicking on "My Calendar". If you have accepted the sharing of the course schedule, you should see it displayed.

I can't see my class schedule on Outlook: why ?

If you do not see your course schedule, it means that you have not accepted the calendar sharing. This sharing is proposed to you in an email and allows you to have access to the list of your courses.

I did not accept the "TBS Planning" calendar sharing / I did not receive the "TBS Planning" calendar sharing email

Contact the helpdesk directly to receive your "TBS Planning" email.

How long before the course schedule appears in my calendar after I accept the sharing ?

The synchronization time may vary. If the problem persists beyond 24 hours, contact the helpdesk.

Does the schedule period remain the same ?

The period is 40 weeks at the date of the consultation.

Will the Google Calendar history be automatically migrated to Outlook ?

Starting August 24th, you will receive a "TBS - Planning" sharing invitation that you will have to validate to access your agenda on Outook.

Your history will remain on the Google Calendar and you will be able to continue to consult it via the "Google Archives" menu of the Campus portal.

My one-Drive

Where is the content of our personal drive transferred to ?

The content of your Google Drive is not transferred to OneDrive.

You will have the choice from August 24th to continue to use the Google Drive via the C@mpus menu " Google (Archives) " or to download the files from your Google Drive to your OneDrive.

Can I still use my Google Drive ? If so, how do I access it ?

You can always access your Google Drive via the C@mpus menu "Google (Archives)" just as you can choose to use your One Drive in addition or as a replacement.

Is the content of my Google Drive deleted ?

Your access to the Google suite will not be deleted.

You will have the choice from August 24 to continue to use the Google Drive or to transfer your files to OneDrive.

Do we still have unlimited storage space ?

Your TBS account will give you 5TB of storage on your OneDrive for the duration of your education.
